I’ve always been passionate about the power of words. Having studied journalism and marketing in college, I went on to work in communications and marketing at the Greater Hewitt Chamber, a chamber of commerce in Waco, Texas. Throughout the 7 years I spent working there, I met hundreds of small business owners, who all shared the same problem: how to create a marketing strategy that gives them results without requiring countless hours of work or eating away at their savings.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of efficiency and the work-smart-not-hard approach. If there’s a tool or a system out there that can help you get where you need to be and take work off your plate, I’m all about it, and I bring the same approach to branding. I believe, when it comes to launching a business, branding is what can make or break it, and I’m always on the lookout for creative, clever strategies that resonate with your audience and help boost your sales.
But life’s not all about work. I love what I do, but I’m also a firm believer in setting healthy boundaries between working and resting to ensure you’re at your best when it comes to serving others. Stretching yourself too thin is a recipe for disaster, so I’m all about finding that sweet balance where you perform at your best and still get to enjoy life at its fullest.
When I’m not working, you can find me hanging out with my favorite person—my high school sweetheart and husband Zach—and my family. Chances are we’re hours into our regular game nights—we are die-hard fans of Jackbox and MarioKart and board games like Wits & Wagers—with our three rescue pups, Quinn, Ellie, and Roo, around us. I’m also obsessed with British crime shows, from Sherlock through Midsomer Murders to Agatha Raisin, and anything with or by Mindi Kaling, and I swear I live off lattes and delicious TexMex food.
